We have now scrubbed and moisturized, but what if we want to take our lip care to the next level? In addition to lip scrubs and lip balms, we can also treat our lips to plumpers and masks and oils and serums and primers. Until recently, I did not even know some of these products existed. Apparently these companies already knew that we love our lips and our lip products!
The Golden Spiral Botanics Lip Repair Serum from an Etsy retailer contains aloe vera, rosehip oil, and apricot kernel oil to help prevent and repair dry lips. The Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil contains their exclusive and proprietary blend of 14 essential oils, 10 plant oils, and 4 vitamins.
For a super intensive dose of moisture, make sure to check out the idea of a lip mask. The Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask is an absolute treat. Not only did it moisturize my lips nearly all day, it even seems to have a cumulative effect. I have not tried the Kaplan MD Lip 20 Mask but it seems to be an exfoliator and moisturizer in one, with papaya enzymes and hyaluronic acid.
Personally, I do not tend to use plumpers or primers, however, there are plenty. Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme seems to be one of the more popular ones through Sephora. A lip primer, same as with a face primer, is designed to create a smooth even surface for your makeup. If I were to develop a need for one, I think I would try the Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone since it is described as a multipurpose primer. The Bite Beauty Line & Define Lip Primer also looks terrific since it also contains ingredients such as argan oil to help condition the lips.
