The unique aspect of jojoba oil is that is most closely resembles the oils that naturally occur in our hair and skin. This feature makes it amazingly good for a variety of uses, from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet!
Hair
Massage in a quarter-size dose into your scalp and hair, and let it sit for about ten minutes before shampooing normally. The added benefit is a refreshing and relaxing scalp massage! After you get out of the shower, try a few extra drops to smooth the hair and control fly-aways.
Face
Jojoba oil has quite a few facial uses. It actually makes a wonderful makeup remover and cleanser. If you are new to the oil cleansing method, jojoba oil is a perfect way to try it out. It also makes a wonderful lip conditioner, especially as an overnight treatment.
Body
Try your jojoba oil as an after-bath moisturizer or as a wonderful massage oil. It can also be used pre- and post-shave to help prepare and soothe the skin. If you already have a body lotion that you love, try adding a little jojoba oil to boost the nourishing properties. Not to mention it’s great for soothing sunburns!
Feet and Hands
Due to the oil’s natural anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties, it has been known to help reduce certain foot afflictions such as toenail fungus or athlete’s foot. It also makes for a wonderful treatment during any manicure or pedicure.
Everywhere Else
Jojoba oil also makes a fantastic carrier oil if you like to blend essential oils into your skincare. Since some essential oils should not be used directly on the skin, jojoba oil is a great way to dilute the stronger ones.
