Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette Review

When UD first came out with the Naked palette, I was giddy with excitement and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. When UD Naked 2 came out, I went right out and bought that one too! I love my palettes from UD and they not only look gorgeous but they feel great as well.

UD released the UD Naked 3 a few months back and naturally, I got the palette as well. I’ve been using it for some time now and I think it is time for a review!

At First Glance

I liked how the Naked 3 palette has a sort of wave pattern on the case. It really makes the whole thing stand out from the rest of my UD palettes.

Upon opening the case, you will see that it comes with a brand new dual ended brush. Normally, I throw out brushes that come with palettes and blushes but this one feels great and works like a dream. I am so keeping it!  It also comes with samples of UD eyeshadow primers. Next thing are the eyeshadows themselves; they are really quite gorgeous and come in all sorts of finishes from shimmery, to matte, and even pearl. I love how all the colors are clearly labeled so you know exactly what colors you are using. At first glance, I really liked Limit, which is a matte, dusty rose color and Blackheart, which is a smoky black matte color with hints of a rosy red sparkle.

Swatches

After admiring my new palette, I washed my hands and took to swatching. I have to say that I was really pleased with the color pay-off on this one. The texture was all smooth and buttery and there was very little fall out. One of the eyeshadows felt a bit gritty (I think it was Dust) but overall, they were all winners. I like how all the colors can be used to come up with different look for different occasions. I love using Strange as an all-over lid color.

Price

This beauty must-have is a bit pricey at $54.00, but it is worth every penny and lasts forever.
