When you think about films coming out in late 2017, what comes to mind? Star Wars? Justice League? Thor: Ragnarok? These answers aren’t surprising and while they are a must-watch, let’s look at three other films releasing in late 2017 that you might have missed.
Murder on the Orient Express
Adapted from the 1934 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie, one of the most beloved crime writers of all time, the film is not to be missed for both casual moviegoers and fans of the novel. The story features Christie’s famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, and his mission to solve a murder mystery while on a train traveling across Europe. Releasing on 10 November, the film also boasts a star-studded cast with Johnny Depp, Judi Dench, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

What can go wrong with a film by Pixar and Disney? This computer-animated musical film, inspired by Mexican celebration Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, tells the story of a young boy Miguel wishing to be a talented musician and somehow finds himself in the Land of the Dead. Follow Miguel’s adventure with your family and friends when it comes out on 22 November.
The Current War
This is a must-watch for history enthusiasts. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Thomas Edison, it is a biographical film about Edison’s battle with George Westinghouse’s electrical company during the late 19th century to introduce a sustainable electricity system in the United States. So, turn off your lights at home and head to the cinemas on 22 December for this!
