In the past couple of weeks, I’ve been obsessed with wearing my new shoes, and they are not like the usual pairs I wear. These are Oxford-style shoes and so far I love them. If you’re like me and you love trying out different styles and experimenting with how you look, you should check these shoes out.
How to Wear Oxford Shoes
I am telling you, they are perfect with everything. I wear them with my skirts, dresses, pants, and shorts, and they always look lovely. Oxford shoes and brogues have that hard exterior that balances any feminine outfit. For example, a striped top with some high-waist shorts and a blazer over them will look even better when you pair them with Oxford shoes.
My personal favorite is a simple pair of button-down shirt paired with cuffed pants and finished off with the tough-looking shoes. They look tough, but I tell you, once you wear them, you’ll love them.
Dresses and skirts are also perfect with brogues. Choose your favorite dress and wear your brogues with them. The dress can be floral or plain. Try them with your favorite skater skirt and sweater combination. I am telling you, there is no limit to the kinds of outfits you can wear with these shoes in your closet.
How to Accessorize Oxford Shoes
These past days I’ve been trying my new shoes with pretty much anything, and what I realized is that I didn’t need to spend a lot of time on accessories. The shoes were already good on their own, since they give my outfit a new look. I can go with just a watch and be ready to head out. I’ve tried pairing them with some of my favorite bracelets too. I recommend that you wear them with something leathery or something that matches the texture of the shoes. Leather bracelets would do nicely. I personally prefer them with stud earrings, but I don’t think they will look bad with hoops and chandelier earrings either. In my opinion, the simpler the accessories are, the better they look.
Despite looking tough, or maybe it’s because they look tough, Oxford shoes are versatile. They are perfect for women like us who are chic and always ready to experiment with clothes. I liked wearing them practically every day, and I think you will too!
