Jetting off to Bangkok for a vacation? If the answer is a resounding “yes,” then you better get ready to loosen your belt and wear a loose shirt because the food in Bangkok is amazing, and you will gorge yourself until you can’t eat anymore. We love Thai food in all its incarnations and we simply go nuts for their sweet, savory, and spicy meals. With all the lovely (and sometimes strange) food choices to choose from, we have prepared a list of 3 of the best places to eat in Bangkok. These choices range from street food to fine dining.
Banglamphu – Talk about giving your tongue a workout! Banglamphu has an amazing array of wonderful noodle soups, fish cakes, and pad Thai. Do not expect any fine dining amenities here because what it offers is true Thai street food sold by little holes in the wall. What it lacks in fine dining atmosphere, though, it more than makes up for when it comes to food choices and variety. This is very near the famed backpacker district Khao San Road.
Yaowarat – Bangkok’s Chinatown might not look like much at first glance but you will be amazed at the selection and the caliber of the food that you can find in this area. You see, in Yaowarat, only the very best Thai street food remains and the mediocre ones get weeded out. When you eat here, expect to find delicious roast duck, noodles, steamed buns, and so much more. It is a foodie paradise that you dare not miss.
Issaya Siamese Club – If you ever get tired of street food, you may want to hide off to the nicer restaurants. One of the best Thai restaurants in Bangkok just happens to be Issaya Siamese Club. This restaurant is inside a 100-year old house set in the middle of lush green gardens. They serve traditional Thai food and it is perfect for couples who are in a romantic mood.
These are just some of the places we enjoy eating in when in Bangkok. However, food in the country is so wonderful that you will be hard-pressed to leave unsatisfied.
