Whenever you are visiting a new place, either for leisure or a business trip, you should make time to go and visit its top destinations before leaving. If you are in Tucson, Arizona, here are some of the places you shouldn’t miss.
Grand Canyon
This is probably the place you shouldn’t miss if you’re in Arizona. Spectacular and truly breath-taking, this tourist spot cannot be described by words alone— you should see it to believe it. Boasting a long 277-mile distance from one end to the other, you would have to climb down an average of a mile to reach the bottom of the canyon. But it is nothing but easy, knowing that you have to endure its steep and rocky walls. The moment you reach the bottom, relax and take time enjoying the relaxing current of the Colorado River.
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park
This tourist spot is one of the most jaw-dropping places in the whole of United States. This desert-like sanctuary serves as the boundary linking the states of Arizona and Utah. This location is also famous for its spectacular and dazzling lighting, especially when the sun shines over its towers and emitting long shadows across the floor. This monument is highly-preserved because Navajo Nation is one of the biggest Native American Tribes in the whole of United States.
Four Corners Monument
The name of this monument speaks for itself because it is the only place in Arizona where you are literally standing in four states at once: Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado.
Petrified Forest National Park
Situated on the left side of Winslow, Arizona, this national park houses some of the most striking colors of fossilized wood, historical buildings, and archaeological diggings. Several 200-million-year-old fossils can also be found here—a treat for lovers of science or for those who just want to be amused.
The Painted Desert
For a memorable experience in Arizona, this tourist spot deserves a visit. This vast and rocky location boasts an area of almost 93,500 acres. The Painted Desert, when hit by the sun, consists of almost all the colors of the rainbow—from purples, reds, blues, and even oranges.
