If you haven’t been to California, I suggest that you visit the place for a weekend getaway and head straight for Los Angeles. It’s home to some of the best getaway spots, especially if you’re an outdoorsy type of person. Here are amazing places you can visit in L.A.:
- Hollywood – A visit to Tinseltown will not be complete without seeing Hollywood. You can head to the TCL Chinese Theatre and see the handprints of famous personalities, visit studious and meet celebrities. Go shopping at The Grove and who knows, you might even meet some famous actors while hanging out at the best night-spots?
- The Getty Center – I enjoyed visiting The Getty Center, one of the most important places to visit in Los Angeles. It has works from Van Gogh, Cezanne, and Monet and also has an impressive garden to make the visit even more breathtaking. Couples will enjoy the art and flight museums while children will be amazed by the art center and the zoo.
- Magic and Wine Tasting – Don’t forget to visit Vine Street for a night of good food and magic with David Minkin. You can spend hours on this place and not notice the time pass by because everything is so entertaining. The food is good, the hosts are friendly, and the wine is definitely something to try. I found myself refilling my glass often even though I’m not much of a wine connoisseur. This is a good place for romantic dates because the setting is private and intimate. You will see David Minkin perform magic before your eyes, and you can even participate. Time spent here is definitely time well-spent.
- Nethercutt Museum – Another museum, you say? No, it’s not just like any other museum. You will find scores of vintage cars, doll collections, and timeless furniture to feast your eyes on. They also have a collection of musical instruments.
Los Angeles, California is a good vacation spot if you’re planning a getaway that’s relaxing and informative. When you get there, I recommend finding good hotels that are near famous places so that you can travel with ease. Also, make sure you try the different restaurants because there are so many delectable foods around L.A. One visit wasn’t enough for me, and I will definitely go back.
