We have talked about what clothing and what makeup to pack for a work trip, but let’s not forget about our complexion. Depending on the schedule I will have on the trip, I like to add little treats for my skin that I may not get around to using at home.
- Cleansing – I’ve traveled with the Olay dry cloths for years, and still love them. I’m not a fan of the pre-moistened wipes. My face never really feels clean afterwards. The only downsides are the fact that it creates so much waste and if my trip gets extended for whatever reason, I might run out.
- Exfoliating – I love a good scrub, but I really don’t like fitting one more item into my 3-1-1 bag. To remedy this, I have discovered scrubbing powders! They are loose powders or grains such as Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains for Face , and can easily travel in your regular toiletry bag.
- Moisturizing – When you travel, you need to moisturize regardless of what skin type you tend to be. Two of my favorites to use while I travel are the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief as well as the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. The Clinique is a lightweight gel that feels lovely in the morning while the Bobbi Brown is a hydrating treat in the evenings.
- Treating – Sometimes it is hard to find the time to treat myself and my skin at home; there are always other priorities that supersede it. But if I’m stuck in a hotel room anyway, why not take the time to take care of my skin? I like to throw in a sample mask packet or two so that I can relax in my downtime and let the nourishing benefits soak in.
